Finding Peace in Aging: Wisdom and Wonder (Online Australia Wed 29.4.26)

Last month, in our second Finding Peace in Aging session, Jeff and I sat with people from around the world as they shared stories of aging: identity shifts, uncertainty, grief, loss, and also moments of joy. What unfolded was a space where people felt safe, heard, and deeply connected. Together, we explored simple, practical ways to meet change with more presence, self-kindness, and support in everyday life.

I’d love to invite you to join us for our third and final session in this season: Finding Peace in Aging: Wisdom and Wonder.  You are welcome whether you have joined us before or not.

As we grow older, something in our perspective can begin to widen. We may notice the patterns of a life lived: what has shaped us, what has softened us, and what still asks for our attention. With that comes a kind of wisdom that, personally, I am enjoying as I age!

And alongside that wisdom is the reality of impermanence. Our bodies change, certainties loosen, and at times we may feel less steady, and, we can also increase our capacity to hold this alongside our wonder for this life. As Mary Oliver calls it, ‘this one precious life.’

In this session, Wisdom and Wonder, we’ll explore what it means to live with this awareness. How it touches us in our bodies, our relationships, and our sense of self. What supports us when things feel uncertain. And where we might discover resilience, tenderness, curiosity, and awe.

Together, Jeff and I will guide a space where all of it is welcome: the confusion and the clarity, the vulnerability and the strength, as we listen for the wisdom that is already here.

Cost
Sliding scale AU $15–153 (approx. US $10–108). Please contribute what feels right for you. This session is also a fundraiser for Baba Tree International, supporting peace and community-based projects around the world.

A few practical notes: the session runs for 2.5 hours with a short break. To support connection, we ask that cameras are on. We’ll provide an audio recording of the guided meditation, but the rest of the session won’t be recorded, so your live presence matters. The space will close ten minutes after the start time. Please bring pen and paper as there will be a time for journalling.

As mentioned, you’re very welcome whether or not you’ve joined us before.

I’d really love to have you there.
