Anarpipe Country Under the Stars
I was deeply moved by the care, wisdom and generosity of spirit on Anarpipe Country, north east of Alice Springs where I was honoured to spend a week with the team from Kings Narrative Pty Ltd: Tyson Carmody and his brother Kynan Barnes, and their friend, Chris Forbes. I am also in awe and deeply grateful to We Al-li Programs and the participants who joined me for the deep learning and care that I experienced as part of the Facilitation Training program.
I was honoured to learn from this amazing community, to listen to the land, the wind, the birds, the silence at night; and to sit under the vast blue skies and sleep under the billions of stars, to hear stories that held us together, and to take part in ceremonies and circle that touched my heart.
We laughed, we cried, we sang, we listened, we talked, we were quiet, we danced, we lay on the ground and sat under the trees.
And thanks to the wonderful Donna, Tyson’s mother-in-law, we ate awesome food every day. And felt very loved.
I am feeling very grateful.
