When I witnessed a highly polarised and conflicted situation being met with love and compassion, I had to watch it again. In a group that was struggling, Aya Caspi, NVC trainer and facilitator spoke and brought people into a place of connection and shared agreement. Her presence and clarity was palpable. You can watch this short video of ‘Speaking about the War in Gaza without Recreating it Here.’
For the last five years I have been a practitioner of Convergent Facilitation so I could feel what was possible and to watch Aya lean into the conflict was powerful. I admire her level of skill in rebuilding connection and I know what it takes: presence, learning, practice and collaboration.
…is life changing for everyone involved.
Are you interested in doing Aya’s workshop, Doing the Repair Work, and to meet with me in-between sessions for practice? The reason being is that the program is hosted live at 4 in the morning here in Australia so I will not be attending live and be able to participate in the breakout rooms which is were the embodiment and practice happens. I will watch the recording and would love to meet with other like minded people to do the practices. Please let me know if you’d like to share this three week journey. Also, do leave your thoughts about this work in the comments below!
In collaboration with ŞİOAB Team, NVC Online Practice Meetups Team. When: Wednesday, July 10, 17 & 24 11am-1pm (PST), 2pm-5pm (EST), 20:00-22:00 (CET). 21:00-23:00 (Turkey) 4am AEST (Australia) Languages: English & Turkish. ONLINE. This program is offered worldwide for anyone who wants to join.
How do we NOT take responsibility for other people’s feelings and needs, while taking full responsibility for the impact of our choices? Come learn a transformative 5-step-by-step process where impact is being fully heard, acknowledged, mourned and cared for, without shame, blame and dehumanization.
Learn how to reclaim togetherness in the midst of separation and polarization. We will practice the internal and external skills to support healing and reconciliation under conditions where there is a break in trust, accessing everyone’s humanity and creating a field of innocence beyond ‘right-wrong’ and ‘either/or’.
Class will include slides presentation, modeling in the big group using live situations and practice in small groups.

Hi Wendy,
Thanks for your sharing and how you provide the possibility of further purposeful connections, deepening our understanding of how to meet each other in this world exactly where we’re at.
I watched Aya’s respectful communication of bringing a polarised group into a togetherness. She was succinct in her reflection, skilled in her pausing so as to stay connected with the speaker, and attended beautifully to the needs of people wanting to be heard within the room.
I’m really interested in her program and connecting with you in the group work between sessions. I’m going to think a bit longer as to whether I can participate in both Aya’s work and Jesse’s further July modules at the same time and bring effective focus to both.
Yours gratefully,
Leonie
