It was an act of grace signing up for poet, Mark Tredinnick’s ‘What the Light Tells’ Poetry Masterclass late last year.
Completing his inspiring workshop series is responsible for me being a part of this years Bellingen’s Readers and Writers Festival. I’ve signed up for the Poetry Slam on Friday night! Wish me well as it’s not often I get nervous speaking in public but this has really given me the collywobbles!
I must remember to breathe, ground, centre and do it anyway!
The Poetry Slam is fully booked out with 21 poets sharing their work. I will also be part of the Local Authors tent speaking about planning for death and dying which links into my book for writing funeral and memorial ceremonies. This presentation feels relatively easy as it’s my area of work that feels deliciously comfortable.
The Local Authors tent is free to attend so I hope you will come along and support not only myself but the following locals!
No booking required, just turn up to the Local Authors Marquee. Click on this link for more information.
