What personal data we collect and why we collect it

The Personal Information that we collect depends on the context of your interactions with this site.

Products and Newsletters

  • Signing up for newsletters: Your name and email address
  • Attending events: Your name, email address, phone number, country of residence
  • Purchasing products: Your name, billing and postal address, phone number and email address. 

We use WooCommerce for the main structure of the site and to process orders and Mailchimp for our newsletters. 

Log information: Like most online service providers, we collect information that web browsers, mobile devices, and servers typically make available, including the browser type, IP address, unique device identifiers, referring site, the date and time of access, operating system. We collect log information when you make a purchase so your orders can be checked if you have, for example, any queries about an order or wish to request another download option; or when you open a newsletter and click on links. This helps us to know what information is relevant in the newsletters and email campaigns we send out. 

Comments

When visitors leave comments on the site we collect the data shown in the comments form, and also the visitor’s IP address and browser user agent string to help spam detection.

An anonymised string created from your email address (also called a hash) may be provided to the Gravatar service to see if you are using it. The Gravatar service privacy policy is available here: https://automattic.com/privacy/. After approval of your comment, your profile picture is visible to the public in the context of your comment.

Cookies

If you leave a comment on our site you may opt-in to saving your name, email address and website in cookies. These are for your convenience so that you do not have to fill in your details again when you leave another comment. These cookies will last for one year.
